Greeting and seating was professional and caring. Our server, Amanda, was available in a timely manner . She took our orders and provided same in a timely manner. Our beet salads were adequate and perfect in temperature. Our entries, Ravioli and a modified Salmon dish were large, tasteful, and hot when served. Hostess staff and overall ambiance of this restaurant could stand an upgrade given the hype and the menu prices. Host was squirrelly and unkept. Lighting is too bright. No candlelight on tables, harsh lighting and no music contribute to the lack of ambiance and explain why the customers on a Saturday evening are primarily senior citizens. Always a great place for Italian food and great dessert.

No candlelight on tables, harsh lighting and no music contribute to the lack of ambiance and explain why the customers on a Saturday evening are primarily senior citizens. That said, the crab avocado stack was very delicious. We were not impressed by the presentation or the taste of the chicken marsala or the chicken parmigiana. The fresh green beans were good. The highlight of the meal was the excellent dessert selection. The Death by Chocolate Cake and the Chocolate Cheesecake Bar were huge and absolutely fabulous!!!! With a few adjustments, this restaurant could be excellent.
What an amazing jewel of a fabulous restaurant. We enjoyed valentines day dinner and will plan to be back soon. Noise level, even for a busy night, was still quiet and pleasant. Great food with generous portions of everything.
I made reservations several weeks before Valentines day and unfortunately we had to sit outside..little chilly and had to wear jackets. However, when we were served my lobster ravioli was cold as was my husbands fish. We were with another couple so we didn't say anything as it would have delayed our meal with our friends. We've eaten at Alpine many times in the past and have never had a bad meal. The reason for this comment is because I wish restaurants would not take in more reservations than they can handle...it ruins valentines for those of us who made our reservations in advance.
Had a lovely evening with great food and great service.
