Culver's is a solid choice for fast food. Their frozen custard is especially impressive. Although the prices are a bit higher than what you’d normally find at a typical fast food joint, the butter burgers are definitely a step above the standard offerings you’d get at McDonald's and similar restaurants.
I typically steer clear of fast food, but with limited choices in town compared to what I'm used to, I decided to give this place a shot. I was pleasantly surprised! The burger was surprisingly good, featuring two beef patties with cheese and the toppings I requested. The crinkle-cut fries were nicely seasoned and enjoyable. However, we did encounter some issues with our large order for eight; it was inaccurate, and we didn’t receive all the drinks and items we had paid for. Overall, it wasn't bad at all. I'd rate it somewhere between Burger King and Five Guys. The atmosphere was what you'd expect from a fast food restaurant.
During my recent visit from out of town, I decided to try Culver's for the first time. I ordered four meals from the menu, three of which were the same item. After waiting for 30 minutes for our order, we took it back to our room. To our disappointment, when we opened the bag, we found that every item was incorrect. Some burgers had lettuce and tomatoes, while others did not, and one burger had only cheese. I reviewed the receipt, and everything was recorded correctly. It appeared that the staff was quite disorganized, and I have no intention of returning.
When my food arrived, my concrete mixer was completely melted. To make matters worse, just four minutes after closing time, we were asked to leave while my friend was choking on her food. An employee told us to hurry up because they needed to finish their closing tasks. My friends and I found this behavior very rude and baffling; we all agreed that we would never ask someone to leave less than five minutes after closing at our own jobs.
I typically only review wings, but I felt this situation deserved a Yelp review. I ordered a burger tailored to my preferences, and since I had never tried one from Culver's before, I was excited to give it a shot. In my haste to return to my delivery job, I quickly drove off. When I opened the bag, I was surprised to find a chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and pickles—none of which I had ordered! Seriously, guys, you can’t make mistakes like this; it’s just as frustrating as McDonald's!
