Our dogs were made to feel welcome and all of our allergies and dietary restrictions (vegetarian) were taken care of.

We were staying in the Newton Hall Garden Rooms and had a voucher for the dinner, bed breakfast. The food in the Joiners Arms was delicious, fresh and piping ho... read more We were staying in the Newton Hall Garden Rooms and had a voucher for the dinner, bed breakfast. The food in the Joiners Arms was delicious, fresh and piping hot. We didn’t have to wait long at all for our starters or mains and both were absolutely delicious. We had seen pictures online so when we realised they weren’t on the residents fixed menu they were happy to accommodate our request to pay towards the additional for what we wanted. I had fish (huge! and chips and my partner had the sirloin steak. Breakfast this morning was wonderful.. would recommend the full english and the eggs Benedict (with salmon … AMAZING! We also recommend the local beer (lamdbier and I had a gorgeous pina colada, so fresh!!! Lovely cosy pub with welcoming staff. Thank you x x x

I had shared when we booked that we had a baby, but we got shoved in a back corner which wasn't the best. But not end of the world. We had to wait over 25 minutes to order food. 3 tables arriving after us placed orders before us. I eventually had to chase down a staff member. No one came to check food was ok or offer any more drinks so we just left after eating. It's a cracking pub and food is top but service was appalling today. Not one staff member smiled. It was shame as its our mini moon . Hopefully it's better next time.
