The place was buzzing, even for a monday night, with locals grabbing beers and rioja and watching the football game on the tv. It took a while to get serviced, but the ambiance was comforting enough to allow a scaredy cat tourist traveling alone to find peace in his glass of wine, or two, or three, and his tapas. Note. As with all places in Spain, it would be best if you can speak conversational spanish. English will only get you so far.

When... read more Surprising bar/restaurant in Almussafes. In the middle of an ugly street, they serve great quality food, with fresh ingredients and delicious combinations. When we arrived the place was fully reserved but they still found us room and the staff was really nice. I would recommend to try their chipirones and sepionet. It was very cheap too, we paid 30€ for 2 and we couldn't even finish everything. If you stay in the hotel Bartos you should pay them a visit
