This restaurant was connected to our hotel and had good reviews so we were looking forward to trying. as English we were there early after Spanish standards. we were in a beautiful table near the bar in an opposite, between the...kitchen and "main restaurant- a more beautiful raised area with large windows. we were not allowed there, but there was a lot of space when we were there. our table was near the kitchen door with a full view of the dishwasher activity. the door was often open so we had sound effects. behind me was the bar with plates and cutlery. our cloth had holes and the table laid with a plate with serviette each. brot was delivered to the teller with tangs like “fired with us”. the broth is hard, cold and unleavened. Once we have ordered our net, the tellers were taken and brot tipped on the cloth, why not touched. the food came very fast. I had geese with fruit sauce and my man had plucked venison. the food was good. but the total lack of atmosphere, eye contact or engagement by employees and kitchen view made it a rather miserable meal. the guy who only eats behind us was whipped by two croquet courses and posterized under mins, his towel was thrown away before he had received his credit card back into his wallet. it was all incredibly brutal. when we were gone, there was no thanks or farewell. I've never been anywhere where I felt less welcome. unfortunately I did not have the Spanish to politely suggest a little friendliness would go away a long one, so I found myself striving to go as they push us through.
The menu in this restaurant is quite extensive and all the meals we had were of excellent quality. we ordered various main courses and first courses and each and everyone was excellent. for example gazpacho, spinat and kichererbsen. the duck, steak and pork were all first class.
We were cycling through El Rocío and stopped for lunch at this great restaurant. The meals were divine and the waitress even did up a special platter for our and year old. It was one of the best meals we had in Spain.
We arrived for a late lunch. Waiter was so surly. Tried to up sell from cava there is none) to Moët . Real attitude problem.
We found this place earlier on the day and were thrilled to have a real cup of tea! there is a huge restaurant overlooking the lagoon, but for our evening meal we were offered only the bar area that was perfect ok. one of us had a huge delicate steak, another of the bark steak, which was also enormous, but only bark and gravy. two bones came only average veg. kartoffeln were too often heated. reasonable price for an acceptable eating .
