We used to frequent the previous restaurant in this location and loved it, so we decided to give the newly reopened one a try.We came away very disappointed. The food was average at best, the portions nowhere near what the previous ones were,the staff are aloof at best and the price is rather high. After receiving recommendations from friends, my partner and I decided to celebrate a special birthday dinner at Artisanale.

My husband and I went out for a romantic evening, hoping to enjoy top-notch food and service at a higher price. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The rabbit croquettes were dry and lackluster.

When you arrive, you are greeted by friendly staff. You can see right into the very clean, well organized and busy kitchen. This family run restaurant located in the village of Alma is a must stop for all those weekend road warriors traveling the country roads in North Wellington County. You can still expect a great home cooked meal, followed by amazing pies, and home baked items. You will be telling your friends, and coming back for more...

This restaurant is under new ownership. The former Marg's restaurant. You can still expect a nice meal and home baking for a reasonable price. It is close quarters so be prepared to seat near someone else.
