Contribute FeedbackPunjab Palace delivers a culinary experience that teeters between excellence and disappointment. While many patrons rave about the flavorful vegan options and attentive service, recent visits have revealed inconsistencies in food preparation. Dishes like biryani and kofta curry have been criticized for incorrect ingredients and lack of authenticity. However, dedicated fans appreciate the rich flavors and accommodating staff who help navigate menu complexities. Highlights include satisfying samosas and fragrant masalas, despite portions appearing smaller than expected. Overall, Punjab Palace remains a beloved spot for its charm and potential, yet calls for more meticulous attention to detail.
I recently tried the Tofu Marcella dish at this restaurant for the first time and unfortunately, my order was wrong. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the person I was dining with had also ordered a vegan meal. I highly recommend the Tofu Marcella dish, which was rich and creamy with a delicious red sauce.
Got the seafood masala It was okay I expected more of a tikka masala, but it was more like tomato sauce and not creamy Also scallops were over...
I sought Indian food and wanted to try a new place, and I have no regret!! I went to lunch for the cheaper lunches and got Chicken Tikka...
Beware that none of the menu items are explicitly marked as vegan, and some dishes may contain dairy ingredients like milk and butter. However, the staff is very knowledgeable and willing to clarify which dishes are dairy-free upon request. They also offer options to substitute coconut milk for regular milk in many dishes. The food is delicious and although the portions may seem small, they are reasonably priced and packed with flavor, making you feel very satisfied. I highly recommend this place, and would give it 5 stars if I could, even though it's not completely vegan-friendly.
This is one of our go-to restaurants for takeout. We've never dined in, but the food we've ordered to-go has always been outstanding. They offer plenty of vegan options, and even have the ability to make dishes that traditionally include cream vegan-friendly by substituting coconut milk. The pakora and samosas are delightful, and the vegetable masala made with coconut milk is especially delicious. The vegetable jalfrezi and coconut curry are also excellent choices. We highly recommend this spot for delicious Indian cuisine.
