I've been to this restaurant twice. My first experience was amazing, with wonderfully chewy noodles bursting with unique flavors. Unfortunately, during my second visit, the noodles were disappointing and soggy. The cold noodles are made with thick sesame oil; while some people love that flavor, I personally prefer the peanut sauce version. However, the cold chili chicken was delicious both times I visited. I had the Cumin lamb biang biang noodle soup served in a chipped bowl. Not the best biang noodles I?ve had, but Tasty soup and spice on the lamp. the noodle was nice and chewy. It seemed quite busy when I went in but I was seated right away. But no one came over with a menu, or take my order. There was a big line, of what seemed to be a take out order, I wasn?t sure if I had to wait in line to order so I did. Self se... View all feedback.
A small hole in the wall place, cash only.Food I've tried: SPICY LAMB HAND PULLED NOODLE $12): the portion is smaller, however I think for the price it is fair. The noodles itself were chewy, and I definitely felt the hand pulled quality to them. I personally would have preferred slightly thinner noodles, as the glutinous mouthful distracted from the flavors of the meat at times. The lamb was very well prepared, not gamey at all and very tender. It was very well flavored, with the right amount of cumin and a slight spicy kick. Atmosphere: Very small store, limited seating. Classic hole in the wall feel. Water is self serve at the front. Service: Unclear whether you are supposed to order at the counter or if someone comes to you. I just ended up ordering at the counter. Remember it is cash only, but the prices are reasonable. Overall: Good for a quick bite of authentic tasting hand pulled noodles.
The noodles are good! The scallion pancake is probably the best we had. I guess I’m just picky about 热干面… since that’s literally the only dish I can judge with that one coming from my home town. It was tasty but just not the taste I was looking for. I think I needs more sesame paste to it.
This place has very flavor packed punch with its noodles. The cumin lamb biang biang noodles are awesome. All of their noodle dishes pretty good. But don’t forget the chongqing chicken with chili peppers a great item. If I had any complaints for 18$ seems a little small in portion size and there are bones to pick out but still delicious.
Ordered serval noodles and Sichuan fish fillet with preserved vegetable. Lanzhou beef noodle is good, others are okay but not good.
Love the hand pulled noodles here. The lamb cumin biang biang ones are so good, they're my favorite. The sauce is a bit light at times, could use a little bit more flavoring, but it's just the right amount of spice. If you don't like spicy foods you're probably not going to enjoy it as much here, or try to order a dish that comes as non spicy instead of trying to adjust the spiciness levels of spicy fishes. The only downside is that it's cash only, so definitely plan accordingly. They're pretty strict about this. It's also a tiny tiny place so don't expect to have seating readily available if you come as a large group.
