We popped in here a couple of times during our recent visit to Cockermouth, for coffee and tea cakes. A nice Cappuccino and very nice teacakes, with plenty of butter. We shall look forward to our next visit! View all feedback.
What TheBloodhound doesn't like about Beatfords Country Kitchen:
There’s a particular middle aged, blonde haired waitress I’d like to give a mention to.She is the most unpleasant and rude one I’ve came across in a while. If she was there when I left I was going to have a word and see what the problem was.Anyway, the younger 2 are lovely.Dry scones, bland soup and an average toastie.I’d give this place a miss.We will not return. Popped in after visiting National Trust property. The food drinks were ok but nothing to write home about. The staff were helpful pleasant but I found the place a bit dated.
A lot of obviously regular diners were lunching, the friendly waitresses knew their personal favourites. The choice for food was excellent, and the display of cakes amazing. I can recommend the sticky toffee pudding with custard!
Nipped in for a quick bite to eat. Clean and tidy traditional cafe. Staff very pleasant and attentive. Value for money toastie with a lovely fresh side salad and coleslaw. Very popular across lunchtime. Would definitely revisit
Ate here at lunchtime today. My ham sandwich was delicious. My wife's vegetable soup was hearty and filling. The tea was hot and plentiful, and the trifle for afters was outstanding.
