This cozy little bar has a friendly atmosphere and serves delicious homemade burgers! Update 2019: they still have the best burgers around! Whenever I'm hungry, I choose to enjoy a glass of wine along with a great burger (with either hand-cut sweet potato fries or regular French fries on the side) instead of going for a chocolate martini and crab cakes at the Copper Head. What Aes doesn't like about Old Belmont Inne:
The food might be decent, but the owner's behavior is enough to deter anyone from coming back. I recently had to cancel a reservation and called the Belmont 24 hours in advance to let them know. I was shocked to receive a voicemail from the owner, filled with profanity and insults. This is certainly not how to attract customers. Ice cold beers! One of the best tacos in the Lehigh Valley. Neat old wooden bar. Great service. Plenty of parking in the back for cars and motorcycles.
Just a local bar. Not the place it used to be. Drinks good, bartender very nice.
I enjoyed the warm, friendly atmosphere of the old bar, perfect for gatherings with friends and family. The food was good, and the beer was nice and cold.
The bartender advised me to smile more and commented on how I looked when I arrived, which was unnecessary. The venue itself was decent, but the bartender frequently eavesdropped on my conversation with a friend and created an unwelcoming atmosphere. I wouldn't recommend this place if you identify as anything other than straight.
