We drove quite a bit to try something new and decided on McGillicudys Lakeside on a Saturday night. We weren't disappointed. In fact we were a bit surprised. The Inn was jumping although off the beaten track. When we walked in we saw linen tablecloths and napkins. We sat in the bar area at high tops. Very pleasant space and quite large. Through the windows we could see we were pretty much surrounded by water. Nice! There were young and old, couples and groups. Everyone was happy eating and drinking. We opted for eclectic assortment of food: salad wedge, spicy calamari, chowder, French fries, and sautéed spinach. All were delicious. We each had a Yeungling lager at $4 each. The beer price was priced right. The price of the food was a bit high which prevents me from giving a 5 star rating. But the salad wedge? Let me tell you. Our waiter suggested we get both blue cheese dressing as well as the balsamic was spot on. The blue cheese dressing was Amazing (with a capital A)! But for $12 it should be. We left happy and full.
