You really have to go here... before it goes bust. Ever shrinking opening hours, inadequate staff, and a just-too-late supply chain that means that your favourite drink or severely limited snack will not be available. But the guy that runs it is a nice guy, just has a business plan that involves a death spiral. So go here and support him before he opens a GoFundMe page.
The most unfriendly and unwelcome bar we’ve been to in all our 20 years in this area. We were called ‘walk-ins’ and turned away as we hadn’t pre-booked fish and chips! It’s a very basic bar/ cafe not an upmarket restaurant. In what sane world does an efficient business turn customers away? Do you have to pre- book beer too? These walk-ins walked out and won’t be back. Their loss!
We entered this place by chance to shelter from the heat, but then felt as if we went from the fire into the fire pan. We were about as welcome as a bull in a china shop. The barman was the most negative and unwelcoming patron we have ever met, we felt rushed out, after begrudgingly bought our first drink. The atmosphere was tense to say the least and we felt unsafe, overhearing one of the bar flys curse using threatening language. We felt relieved to finally leave the place.
So let’s start with the beer! iPA on tap along with all other usuals! Food and food nights are excellent and the staff are friendly and welcoming!
Popped in late morning for reasonably priced refreshing pint san miguel. Very welcoming and friendly. Looks to be a hub for the expat community with Spanish lessons being conducted in the bar. Hope to revisit to see what live entertainment is like. Our first impressions albeit based on very short visit were very good and is worth giving it a go. Thanks for making us welcome.
