Went and tried the sake tasting event they had. It was a fun experience. They had 5 different sakes tonight and it was all very smooth. My favorite one was the bubbly sake. The service was quick and friendly. The place is good for a big group to drink and eat some skewers. View all feedback.
We had the yellowtail collar, beef tongue skewer, and the shrimp tempura udon. It was really delicious, and for a reasonable price. And we didn't even have to wait at all which is nice! The servers were also very attentive, would give us extra bowls and plates since we were sharing as a family.
Came here on a Sunday night with a bigger group and we were seated right away. Waiters were super attentive and nice. We ordered the yakitori and appetizers to start off with. I made a mistake because I ordered ramen thinking the yakitori and appetizers weren't gonna be that filling. They were filling and so dang good. Everything was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. Everything was so flavorful even the mushrooms! I highly recommend the beef tongue. It was of high quality and wasn't rubbery at all. The takoyaki was very good as well. We then also ordered the dessert. I had the matcha ice cream. It was good but nothing too special. I'll definitely be coming back to feast on the yakitori.
This was my second time coming to this location and genuinely, it 's OKAY. There 's plenty of seating and a huge outdoor section which I can tell is meant to host large parties and have like an izakaya type feel. There 's also capsule vending machines in the corner which adds to that sort of ambience. If you 're with a lot of people or looking for a casual family dinner night out, I can see why you 'd take them here. It 's super convenient especially after a night out on Main St! In terms of food and ramen, I prefer the Rosemead location much much more. The ambience there is also more like a small ramen shop in Japan where you just eat your food then go, and the food is also a lot more closer to what I 'd expect from an authentic Japanese ramen shop from the noodle quality to the broth compared to the offerings at this location. The food I had at this location isn 't bad, and I 've also ordered the chicken thigh yakitori which I enjoyed, but overall this location is quite overpriced for the quality you get.The server was super friendly though and I really enjoyed the vibe during lunchtime here, but if you 're looking for amazing ramen, there 's better options within a 15 minute radius.
Food is okay Not what it was before! The passion is gone, the Japanese ambiance is dead! The service is just okay! Not sure I want to go back!
Today, Shin Sen Gumi Yakitori Men Ya Alhambra is 3rd anniversary. So I went it.I selected 3 Yakitori skewers. All Yakitori skewer 25%off !! The restaurant server was friendly. The restaurant is not too loud. It's just right! I'll definitely go again !!!
