Was Rita Cruz at A Ribalta a mag?
Mais uma vez fiquei deliciado, recomendo a cataplana de galinha com laranja, simplesmente divinal.Sobremesas de cair para o lado, muito sabor e muitas calorias.... View all feedback.

What Kyara Ribeiro dislikes about A Ribalta:
Sunday, 8 september 2019, we arrived at 1 o'clock the restaurant was still empty the waiters were still lunch, we ask if possible to lunch, one of the waiters told us that the restaurant only works 24 hours before the house. we even say that the restaurant was empty that it was simply not interested. a great service! We have used this restaurant on our last visit 4 years ago and can report happy that eating is still fantastic and they need to taste the pumpkin ice

We had the worst dinner in a very long time. couvert was good, but instead of 5€ we were charged 8 € (we do not know why.) the gamben were very dry, I guess because they were quickly defrosted. but the two most important courses were the worst, the...meat (riff) was extremely dry and the rice was cold. the piri piri huhn had no piri piri piri and it led to bad stomach problems for me the following day. I guess it was old meat because the restaurant was not busy. there was only one more couple on a Friday night. and the price was quite expensive for the food we had, we would not recommend anyone to take the long running gear (it is quite hidden) for such bad quality in eat.

That is a completely different culinary experience. we arrived in o’ribeira (same restaurant) half an hour too late for our reservation, as the location on tripadvisor is completely wrong. a little stressed by the wrong direction we were in the spatialities and thought we were in the wrong. place, does not look like the photos and it is in the middle of nowhere! we were greeted by a dame (owner) with no English, so came google translate and with a little more stress we discovered that we were at the right place, but we had entered through the bar! all from the cars and through the other entrance of the restaurant (we were absolutely enjoying a lot more like the photos on tripadvisor) the menu offers mainly rustic dishes, slowly cooked meat, fish, game and lots of cataplana. eg: one of the specials last Sunday was wild boar and garnel cataplana for 2 people exceptional! the menu is available in several languages, but the clearing in detail is challenging, thanks google translate the decor is eclectic to say the least and the youth in our party enjoyed exploring the garden with its selection of very unusual handmade decorations, with a lot of speculation about their origin or meaning. as soon as we talk about the wrong direction and the language barrier we are on what a really different and pleasant eating experience, with a beautiful assiete of gloomy and free kirschlikör. that is a restaurant that we will return to.

Our friends invited us to have dinner at Ribalta because they had such a lovely experience the last 2 times they went and wanted us to get to know it. A little difficult to find but worth the trip, what a lovely place! It is...like you enter a typical house, where they sell many kinds of tea, home made things and accessories. The restaurant is very cozy, decorated with antiques and every time I looked around I saw something new. The food is traditional food from the region, very well prepared and very tasty. We could choose between a couple of different plates but we decided to try a bit of everything, so we had a bit of a tapas dinner or petisco in Portuguese. We loved it! The service was very pleasant and the owner was very friendly trying to make us feel at home. We will come back for sure!, great experience!
