Feedback
My family and I recently had the opportunity to dine at Villa Mosca in Sardinia. The restaurant's biggest highlight was undoubtedly its stunning and outstanding view, offering a picturesque setting for a memorable dinner with our two young children. The exterior and the presence of a lovely pool with a view added to the overall appeal of the place. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated at a table with a beautiful view, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the breathtaking surroundings. We decided to order a starter to share and our main courses. Given that there was no specific kids' menu on offer, we politely asked if the kitchen could prepare some simple spaghetti with tomato sauce for our little ones. The restaurant staff assured us that they could accommodate our request, which was a relief. Additionally, we requested that the kids' meal be served alongside the starter to ensure they wouldn't have to wait too long. The staff was accommodating and agreed to this arrangement. However, the dining experience took a disappointing turn when our food was served. Regrettably, the kitchen had prepared large slices of paccheri instead of the requested spaghetti. As small kids, they couldn't manage such a dish, so I brought this to the attention of our server. She kindly took back the plate and informed us that a new dish would be prepared for the children. Although we were somewhat disappointed, we decided to proceed with our meals while waiting for the kids' food. Unfortunately, despite the assurance, the children's dish never arrived. We waited patiently, but it became evident that there was a mix-up or miscommunication, and the restaurant staff did not offer any feedback or explanation from the kitchen. With our children growing hungrier by the minute, we felt let down by the lack of accountability on the restaurant's end. As the children were very hungry we agreed to go to another place and order a meal for them to eat. To make matters worse, we asked for the bill and when the bill arrived, we were surprised to find that we were still charged for the children's dish that we never received, as well as for a bottle of water that was never brought to our table, but ordered. We paid and just wanted to go and find a new place for our children to eat. Despite the beautiful view and the lovely poolside area, the disappointing handling of the situation left a sour note on an otherwise pleasant evening. Villa Mosca fell short in taking responsibility for the delays and oversights during our dinner, which left us feeling unsatisfied with the overall experience. In conclusion, while Villa Mosca boasts an awe-inspiring view and an inviting ambiance, it is essential to be aware that the restaurant's service and accountability may not live up to expectations. Families with young children may want to exercise caution when dining here, as misunderstandings and a lack of responsiveness could potentially mar an otherwise enjoyable meal. We hope that the restaurant management takes these concerns seriously and addresses them to ensure a more satisfactory dining experience for future guests.
We went with high expectations to Villa Mosca for a family meal. To say we were disappointed is an under statement. The Hotel, Gardens surroundings are absolutely stunning. We had a long table and the view was amazing. We ordered 2 courses and had to send back cold food, side orders came out after mains had been finished, had to ask for cutlery and plates. Staff were quite surly when we asked for anything. The bill was wrong, they tried to charge for extra wine then became abusive when we refused to pay the extras. Very disappointing, need a Manager to sort things out and staff training.
