We were very disappointed with our experience here. Only when we asked for the bill did we notice an extra charge for the “service bastioni.” This was never mentioned by the staff, nor was it written anywhere on the menu. I think it’s not legal. I don’t mind paying for additional services, but only if I’m informed in advance in the menu. The waitress didn’t speak English, and when we raised the issue, the manager simply said that “everyone knows about this fee, all places do it,” and didn’t see why we were upset. It left me with the impression that this place is not tourist-oriented at all. During a long stay in Alghero, this was the only time I felt a restaurant truly didn’t care about its guests. The pasta itself wasn’t worth it either. I cannot recommend this restaurant. It’s not about the 10 euros – it’s about not liking to be tricked, sorry.
I had Cologriones pomodoro and it was delicious! The restaurant has a terrace with a view of harbour, there are a lot of people walking by, but it was not noisy, it was quite pleasant. But, as someone mentioned in reviews, l was charged extra not much, it 's not about money, for a 16 eur pasta, l was charged 19, and of course l left 20. This is not a practice in Europe, l had dinners in 6 different restaurants here in Alghero Old Town, and no one charged extra. So just be aware.
It's a nice place. The waitress was very kind. The restaurant was almost empty when we were there so we sat on the upper part, on the bastion with an amazing view. It has a very nice romantic atmosphere to it I'll give it 4 stars because the food was a little bland for my taste. But they provide salt and pepper grinder, and that made it better
Excellent pizza with top-quality ingredients, priced slightly above average but absolutely justified. I recommend trying it.
