The price for the Sch... read more Over the years, I was always at Café Dorette for breakfast. The ambience is nice and furnished with taste. The service is quite attentive. The price for the Schlemmer Breakfast 13,50€ and 4,30€ for the Dirty Chai Latte, however, I found too high and the rolls worked up, that should not be on a Saturday. Shame!

I planned a return trip from Ederbergland to Hamburg and I looked for a nice possibility of returning in which both hearty, homemade cakes and other sweets such as ice are offered. So not quite simple. And full of hits... the Cafe Dorette offers everything... I called before and asked for the localities and, because of the nice advice on the phone, I reserved a table for 10 people. On the day of arrival I was still called by the owners on the way, whether we prefer to sit outside or inside. Simply great the service ... we got a beautiful table on the route, also that we unfortunately came almost 30 min too late for the owners hÃ1⁄4sselbar ... but so now to the cafe .... super delicious cakes, great ice cream specialities and many hearty dishes and everything myself and very prepared ... I shared with my wife a flame cake and then waffle with strawberries and ice cream. Delicious tasty The boss was quite surprised to host a motorcycle group and would like to have picked up his bike oldtimer from the garage. We were warmly welcomed and hosted, I can only say the next time I'm in the Hildesheim Alfeld area, for me there's a detour to the Cafe Dorette.

While all other people were very satisfied, I had to deal with health problems in the evening and at night. Despite the commitment of the innkeepers that I do not get lactose-containing ingredients, this requirement was not respected. Early food was not a pleasure for me; there were missing butter, cream, quark, Zaziki. I will take these ingredients the next time myself.

We (family with child (12 were there on Friday 18.10.19. We wanted to enjoy something special, which can be expected for about 15, € for a summer breakfast. So... read more We (family with child (12 were there on Friday 18.10.19. We wanted to enjoy something special, which can be expected for about 15, € for a summer breakfast. So here's the list of why we left the store with great disappointment. Waiting for our breakfasts: 45min (1Omelett, 1 Schlemmer Breakfast, 1 cheese breakfast When it was there (the Schlemmer Breakfast was finally there: the jam of red onions announced in the menu, the butter (though when asked I had to order a cooked egg extra, was strangely not with the SF. The rolls (only 4 pieces were baked and not fresh. The salmon did not pass the nasal test of me and my wife, and when we accused him, we were told that he was completely fine and only smelled like that, because he was picked himself, but nevertheless quickly and without replacement from the table. The announcing Italian ham was not such, even there I have some expertise. All of these criticisms are (except for the bad fish for a small land cafe by the side, if you are not to pay the proud price of €15 for a summer breakfast. It was worth at most 5, €. We have not received a discount despite the complaints. Never again, our health is dear to us and expensive!
