Nestled in a convenient location, this café offers a mixed bag of experiences for patrons. While some rave about its friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere, others criticize the quality of its coffee and food, likening the baked goods to Costco offerings. The espresso drinks often miss the mark, with reports of poor ratios and overly sweet tea-based options. However, its bubble tea stands out as a highlight. Despite the inconsistency, many appreciate the casual vibe, making it a decent place for a quick stop or to relax with a drink, though some feel it's not worth the higher prices.

Was Veronica Diaz at Java Loco a mag?
I absolutely love this place! I'm quite particular about my coffee order, and since moving to Virginia, the ladies here are the only ones who can prepare it just the way I like. The staff is always friendly, and I particularly enjoy their breakfast sandwiches and bubble tea! View all feedback.

What Israa Ilyas dislikes about Java Loco:
It's a pleasant spot for a quick coffee, and the location is convenient for me. The coffee is standard—nothing extraordinary. The boba and milk teas could use some improvement, as they taste a bit artificial and overly sweet. Overall, it's a nice place to relax and study. The baked goods have a Costco-like quality, so I'm unsure about their freshness. However, the egg and cheese croissant was quite good. View all feedback.

Try going local vs chain, but for the higher cost, would expect better quality food/coffee. Latte was not good, espresso is really bitter and not fresh tasting at all. The people who work there have no idea where the beans are from. They said most people use a lot of flavor syrup to cover the taste of espresso, which is not what you would expect from a place that has Java in the name !Bagel sandwich obviously made on a Costco bagel not even toasted charged extra .50 for a slice of tomato and $1.50 for that disgusting premade guacamole from Costco. Shouldn’t be hard to have an actual avocado if you are selling sandwiches all day. Service also quite rude/stand off ish. Would not return.ETA it looks like the older reviews that brought me in here are from before the pandemic and it was totally different. They don’t have cute little pastries anymore. Everything is clearly from Costco or the like.
