After a few disappointments in aldergrove cuisine we found a gem. Fresh and flavorful food that's surprisingly authentic. This was delivery and I'm looking forward to visiting the restaurant in the near future. View all feedback.
What Tanya Stratford doesn't like about Pho Aldergrove Tran Vietnamese:
The food was underwhelming. The pho broth was flavorless, and the noodles were an overcooked slop. The spring rolls were crispy but lacked filling. If this is considered the best pho place in Aldergrove, I'd hate to try the worst. View all feedback.
Showed up to get food at 7:20PM. Being considerate of the fact that they close at 8:30PM, I ordered me and my friend’s food before he arrived (he was 15 minutes out at this point, I ordered at roughly 7:30PM, leaving an hour for our food to be cooked and just under that for us to finish eating (Intold my friend we should probably eat relaticey quickly in order to be considerate of them closing at 8:30PM). First thing we noticed was the couple or family members who owns or runs the place arguing loudly in the back kitchen area. Then, the woman comes out and sits down and glares at us the entire time we’re eating, it’s roughly 7:50PM 8:00PM by this point in time and our meals are already being eaten with haste as I mentioned above. My friend looks over his shoulder and the woman rudely blurts out “YOU DONE?!” I ignore her and go up to pay with my debit card (I don’t make a habit of carrying cash on me unless it’s an emergency $20). His debit machine was out of order, and before all of this even occurred I watched a man come in to pay for his takeout, and the man at the till actually asked him “Can you just use your Visa?”. The man paying for his takeout looked visibly irritated with the man at the till and left in a hurry with no pleasantries. Back to my friend and I: when my friend offered to pay in cash in attempt to navigate the now extremely awkward situation regarding the faulty debit machine, the man became extremely pssive aggressive, shooing is out of the store. It was 8:10PM during the last phase of our interaction, which means they were technically still open for another 20 minutes. All of this even after I made attempts to save face, saying “Thanks for having us this close to closing.” But was returned with cold silence from the man. Never going back, they just lost two customers. Sucks because I’ve been going to this place since I was a teenager and I’m 30 years old now. Thanks, Pho Tran!

Was excited to try this place having just moved into the neighbourhood. Ordered 3 Grilled pork subs and a lemongrass chicken.Lemongrass chicken was solid but not worth the $17 price tag. 2/3 of the subs were inedible as they’d seemingly been sitting around for awhile, they were rock hard and bone dry. They don’t put any sauce or spread at all on the buns and there was one single jalapeño slice on the last bite of the edible sub, which was a pleasant surprise and would’ve been nice on the whole thing.Overall pretty disappointing. Market’s open for the taking out here in Aldergrove.
Smaller dishes than usual Vietnamese place. Food quality was ok
