Was Pierre Germain at Loz Takos a mag?
I eat at this restaurant three times a week. The service is fast, and the shredded beef quality is exceptional. I often order tacos, but I also like the burrito bowl and occasionally the quesadilla. I truly love this place! View all feedback.
What Dushyanta Kawdikar dislikes about Loz Takos:
This restaurant has closed and is no longer in operation. They are set to open a new establishment called The Taco Factory, so Google should update their information accordingly. Otherwise, the food was excellent for the type of restaurant it was. View all feedback.
This restaurant offers decent food, but unfortunately, it doesn't treat its employees with the respect they deserve. I know some former workers who were never compensated for all the hours they worked, including overtime on several occasions. Once I learned about this, I decided to stop eating there. We shouldn't support small businesses that overwork their staff and underpay them.
All the protein options taste remarkably similar. The Tinga de Pollo (chicken with chipotle) and Pollo Asada (grilled chicken) are virtually indistinguishable. There’s hardly any extra flavor or texture difference with the Tinga de Pollo. The pork and beef options are equally bland, somewhat dry, and all taste quite similar to one another. The toppings are set up at a walk-up bar, reminiscent of Chipotle, but they’re disappointingly standard. The first thing you encounter is a large, messy bowl of pico de gallo, and the metal spoon used to serve it is often just dropped in the bowl when not in use—clearly unappetizing. The other toppings are just mediocre as well; the pickled onions lack flavor, much like everything else. They’re swimming in an unappealing, somewhat milky liquid. I make my own Mexican pickled onions at home, so I can’t fathom what those might be. Being the only taco place in the area, I’ve grabbed takeout from here a few times since my instincts tell me that tacos can’t go wrong. However, my brain is starting to remind me just how mediocre it is and that perhaps we should try somewhere else. I used to rate this place higher, but I’m beginning to realize that I might have been mistaken.
The food is decent, but the menu options could be improved—no queso? Also, why do I need to pay extra for cheese on my burrito? It usually comes standard at other places.
I’ll give this restaurant two stars for its cleanliness and the presence of a TV. However, the food is lacking. The chicken was tough, the beef was dry, and there was an excessive amount of lettuce, with hardly any rice or beans. The only thing that sets this place apart from its competitors in similar cuisine is the variety of vessel options: bowl, salad, burrito, or quesadilla.
These are the best tacos I've ever tasted. Do your taste buds a favor and try them! Every variety is incredibly delicious. The ingredients are top-notch, and the service is excellent. I don't usually take the time to leave reviews, but oh my goodness, this place truly deserves it!
