We went for a late lunch as a... read more I almost don't want to post as this place is so lovely and already very popular I want to go back without loads more people there! We went for a late lunch as a family of 5. I would really recommend either reserving a table or coming outside of peak hours as it gets really, really busy. The speciality is chicken and it is FANTASIC! Really crispy well seasoned skin, succulent inside. We also had delicious grilled chourico and black pudding with lovely bread and pork ribs all excellent! Staff deal well with the busy pace and are helpful and polite. The inside is funkily decorated and the customers when we were there was a mix of families and surfer dudes. The kids absolutely oved this place and so did we. Everyone left stuffed and happy!

On top of that, I have to take the phrase on the staff t-shirts that say: you 're in a hurry, eat the chicken raw. We are not the ones in a hurry, they are the ones who are slow, there is a timing for each type of service. I was fartic .

How about some salt with a hint of chicken? If you said yes then I highly recommend this place! Be prepared to pay for food even if you send it back because one bite gave you high cholesterol. Despite the nice waiter I can 't say anything good about my experience here. I had to argue to have the salty chicken taken off the bill, 3 times back and forth with the waiter and chef... Completely ridiculous. Customer service thrown out the window at this joint. Good luck! Update: I don 't know how long you 've been in the restaurant industry but when a table sends back food that a bite has been taken from and then doesn 't want a replacement you do not expect them to pay for it. I tasted your ribs and they took were salty, I tried the two things a chicken place should be good at and you failed. Why would I trust anything else on your menu? I unkindly refused to pay for the chicken dish and when you refused to take it off the check then I insulted the steak that looked boiled on the other table. Had I eaten the chicken then sure not so unreasonable for me to pay but that was not the case.
