Soden's Hotel - Albury

We arrived with a large group who had reserved an area which was too small to accommodate us all. But all ok. The place is huge! There was a long line up for food but they were incredible getting all meals out in great time. The staff worked hard that night and did an amazing job. The food is lovely and the service friendly.

Excellent bistro. Friendly and prompt service. Food was very good Thai salad and the chicken parmigiana particularly so. The insides are spacious with good light too.

We dined at this hotel twice whilst on our stop over in Albury. There were no staff to ask if we wanted a table for dinner, I had to ask at a counter. Was told to sit at any table that was not reserved. (Not good practice for a licensed hotel) We selected a table and chose our meals. We had to go to a bar counter to order meals, no waiter/waitress taking orders.(again not good practice in a hotel) . The meals were quite enjoyable but we found the price charged for a glass of white wine was over the top. We returned a couple of nights later and all the same just sit where not a reserved table. We chose a different meal and this again was quite enjoyable, but drinks are far too pricy for a pub. I personally think they need to think about their staffing and ordering meals etc. as I do not expect to have to go to a bar counter to place our orders. Big thumbs down for this practice.

This place is absolutely great with kind staff and lovely food. We came here on a Friday night and had a great time. This place is so great for people with dietary needs, I came here with my family and they had so many GF options and they looked like they knew what they were doing with cross-contamination, especially since the chef is Gluten Free. The atmosphere of the place felt so well directed and the staff were very kind. I ordered the “Big Beef Burger” and it was juicy and a delight to eat. Overall this place is amazing and I would totally recommend it

This place looks unassuming from the outside but once you enter everyone is super friendly and welcoming. We had the Gourmet Lamb Pizza and the Grilled Barramundi and both were well worth the price the serving for the barramundi was huge! Would definitely recommend this place just bring your appetite!!
