The staff is incredibly accommodating and the food is absolutely delicious. There is a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian protein options available to be used in both the dishes and tacos.

I ordered five tacos - two jackfruit, two mushroom, and one cauliflower. I wasn't a fan of the cauliflower and jackfruit tacos, but the mushroom ones were delicious! I don't usually like fun, but that one was perfect.

Dennis, the chef at Urban Taqueria, really knows how to serve a variety of high-quality food on a cutting board that looks fresh and interesting and tastes delicious. The owner, Hannif, has a unique presence in the inner city of Albuquerque near Century One Film Theater. The restaurant is named after current political issues, adding a nice touch to the dining experience. The atmosphere is fresh, modern, and urban. For lunch, I had the special with rice, beans, and two tacos - one with cod and the other with shrimp, topped off with a spicy salsa. It was delightful. Additionally, there was a guitarist, Jose Salazar, playing classical music, adding to the cool and vibrant atmosphere.

Wow, “taco bout” decisions! Flower cabbage, beet, sweet potato and the list goes on! they have free chips and salsa. the bank wanted us to eat, but we had our dogs. she said, "Bring them in. ‘

There were plenty of options for vegetarians which can be made vegan with the removal of an occasional crema sauce. The owner was polite and welcoming. The atmosphere was pretty loud at 5:30 on a Saturday but the food came quickly and it was delicious. Tacos come on a wood plank with 5 or 6 toppings to “make your own.” My only wish was that they would leave the cheese off the plate when requested. I hate seeing food, I didn’t want in the first place, just get tossed in the trash.
