Great beer! If you've only had it in a can or something it's definitely worth having on tap. This location has always been a favorite of mine for a local brewery and they always have a great atmosphere and fantastic wait staff who are always happy to help! There's usually a great food truck out front to top it all off. If there isn't, there some good food nearby anyway! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Cumbre Brewing Co:
The beer is impressive, but the brewery is located in a remote warehouse area, making it difficult to find. Additionally, the staff behind the bar were not very helpful. View all feedback.
Albuquerque’s best and OG Brewery. Great spot for dank IPA’s, thick stouts, ambers, pilsners and even a terrific hefeweizen. Truly something for everyone. Great seasonal rotations as well. There is always a delicious food truck outside, pool tables and games upstairs and sometimes live music. Been enjoying this establishment for many years and hope for many more to come!
While all of the other breweries around have been getting fancy with new digs, taprooms, etc......and forgetting what they do, brew beer!! These folks have kept things humble with their taproom, and just continue to brew the best beer in New Mexico!! Hell Yeah!! And, it's right off the bike trail, bonus!!
I traveled through town on a road trip recently and had picked up a few La Cumbre beers (and really liked them) outside of Albuquerque the day before I made it to town so I knew I wanted to stop in and try whatever was available in person. I’m a fan of IPA’s and had a flight of IPA’s with my partner. We enjoyed them all! Our server was super helpful and knowledgeable and we had a great time on our short visit. We picked up some great beer to-go for the rest of our road trip stays through New Mexico. Thanks !
We enjoy exploring the top breweries wherever we travel, and La Cumbre is certainly among them! In addition to the fantastic selection of delicious beers catering to all types of beer enthusiasts, the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was very welcoming. We filled up a keg to take with us and enjoyed a couple of tasty beers on their patio. James also gave us an excellent lunch recommendation. We will definitely be returning!
In my November 2017 update, I had to drop La Cumbre's rating from 5 stars to 4 due to their ongoing neglect of the taproom. There's insufficient comfortable seating, a shortage of staff, and they've got the worst 50s music in any taproom in New Mexico. Although the beer is fantastic, the overall experience is almost enough to make me hesitate returning. By February 2022, I stopped by again and tried the Old School IPA, which was excellent and paired with good service. However, I still maintain a 4-star rating since Jeff still hasn’t improved the place, and it was pretty cold inside at about 50 degrees. Now, in July 2022, I’m pleased to say that "Sun Fade" continues to impress. It’s a great mix of hefeweizen and IPA, perfectly blending the best of both styles. Jeff, could you please consider adding some shade to the outdoor seating?
