This place is decent! Been here twice and the sushi is pretty good. Little pricey for its worth but its not bad at all. We got two sushi rolls and egg rolls for about $40 (came with miso soup) which was a perfect amount for two people. Service is always super nice. I wish it wasn’t as expensive though, or at least have a bit bigger portion sizes to compensate. View all feedback.
What Laverne Kirlin doesn't like about Koyama Sushi:
I ordered chicken with cabbage, carrots, and broccoli in white sauce, but I was disappointed with the portion size. There was hardly any chicken or carrots in my container—just about an ounce of chicken, which was only enough for about five bites. Charging $14 for such a small amount feels incredibly stingy; in my opinion, it should have cost around $4 for that child-sized portion! I wouldn’t recommend this place for... View all feedback.
The sushi here is a contender for the best I've ever had. The chef's expertise and the friendly efficiency of the staff are always evident.
The sushi was amazing. we had the family boat and was amazed at the quality of the fish. I am from California and expect sushi to be fresh and of great quality. I was impressed by the level of service and quality of eating. my wife helped me with the boat and ordered organge chicken. she was very happy. we'll be back soon.
The experience was dreadful. The pad thai tasted like bland noodles soaked in oil, with no sauce, seasoning, or vegetables. Overall, I felt like I would have preferred a pre-packaged meal, as it would have tasted better.
Fish quality was good, but extremely slower service and other quality problems. reis on sushi was a little hard, so either old or undercooked. the prices were also somewhat high for the portion size. waited about 45 min for a very small order with almost no customer. may be good if they can fix their service problems and quality control.
Potential but the misses the mark.Very slow service for pretty tiny portions and mediocre execution on food.I got an entree and 4 pieces of sushi. Took over half an hour to arrive. The rice was hard and undercooked.Front of the house is empty, was a slow afternoon when I visited. I get the impression this establishment is understaffed and has cooks that don't really know what they're doing.I left hungry.
