The waitstaff was beautiful, sweet, and very attentive to ensuring our experience was top-notch. The Mother's meal was wonderful. We were seated in the dining area, but it was still a great experience.

The main differences between places like this often come down to the... read more I always enjoy dining at restaurants with a teppan grill, and Hibachi One is no exception. The main differences between places like this often come down to the chef's personality and how engaging they are. The chef we had was fantastic! Unfortunately, I can’t remember his name, but he was friendly, humorous, and attentive to our needs. All the servers were equally impressive; they were warm and very attentive, making sure our drinks were always full. It was clear that everyone else in the restaurant was having a great time as well. My only concern was with the food. While it was decent, it lacked flavor and felt a bit bland. Thankfully, the chef provided extra teriyaki sauce on the side for added taste. Another issue was with the steak: before cooking, he asked how we wanted it done, and everyone said medium. However, he ended up cooking all the steaks well-done. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it did make me question why he even asked. Overall, you pay a fair amount for your meal, but you also receive a generous portion, which makes it worth it. It’s possible the chef just had an off night, so I still recommend this restaurant.

The grill chef was exceptional and kept us entertained with his jokes. The food was far superior to what we've had at other Japanese restaurants uptown. The grandkids started with sushi as an appetizer, and for our main courses, we all opted for the hibachi steak or chicken. Everything was delicious! Since this was our first visit, we truly enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend this place! P.S. The gin and tonics were outstanding!
