My waiter was amazing. She brought me a sample of the nights drink without asking and she was so sweet. She told me what I would like in regard to drinks. Loved everything. View all feedback.
What Jenifer F doesn't like about Azuma Sushi And Teppan:
This restaurant is so pretty inside! Has a beautiful setting and is clean. The food was not that great, we ordered 4 rolls of which only one was on point. The rolls were small and the rice was a bit hard. The noodles taste like bread and are thin and small..... the server did not know how to serve a sake bomber for some odd reason? It as a bit disappointing to have a great setting but poor tasting food. View all feedback.
I went out to dinner with my sister, and we were treated quite well. We ordered our drinks, which arrived in a timely manner. As we continued to wait, our appetizers were served, and shortly after, my sister received her meal. Unfortunately, I found myself waiting for about an hour for my own meal. Since we needed to leave soon, I asked the waitress about my order, but she simply gave me a blank look and replied with a casual, "Okay," without any apology for the inconvenience. This left me feeling disappointed. In the end, I had to take my meal to go and enjoyed it at home. The food was great, but sadly, my overall experience was not.
We visited this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday with a group of nine in one of their private rooms. The place was not busy. Among our party, only two of us were non-Asian. Initially, the service was acceptable, and seven of us received our meals in a timely manner. However, two individuals who ordered the same dish (chicken with steamed rice) did not get their food until everyone else had finished. After waiting for 30 minutes, they were informed that they were out of steamed rice. How can a Japanese restaurant run out of rice?! We all agreed that we won't be returning. This restaurant, which is quite close to my home, has been our go-to spot for sashimi and sushi for the past few years, but the quality has seriously declined. The last time we had sushi there, two months ago, the tuna was clearly not fresh and seemed to have been frozen. Additionally, my Japanese wife noted that they no longer seem to know how to prepare sushi rice properly—or any rice for that matter, as evidenced by our recent experience.
I drove in on Sunday to place an order for Monday at 5:00 pm, specifically a love boat for $79.00. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was informed that it would take an additional 45 minutes. I explained that it was supposed to be ready by 5. They then requested an extra 10 to 15 minutes. When I finally received my order, I opened a small box containing only sashimi, with no sushi, and just one small California roll. I felt extremely cheated, as I expected much more food. I'm really sad and disappointed. I feel like I was lied to and wronged in the process.
Pin was hands down the best chef I've ever encountered at the grill. He prepared some of the most incredible food I've ever tasted. He certainly deserves a raise, and I hope he is well compensated for his talent. Not only is he an amazing chef, but he's also a really cool guy. I give him a perfect 11/10!
We visited for Valentine's Day weekend and had to wait an hour and a half before we could sit at the grill. However, the wait was absolutely worth it! Our chef and server were both fantastic—they entertained us with their humor and were very attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious food and lively atmosphere!
