At 17.30 still very quite s... read more First time at this friendly Portuguese restaurant. Called in for early dinner with friends after golf at Pinhal in nearby Vilamoura. At 17.30 still very quite so service quick and attentive. Plenty of choice from an extensive menu. We opted for Mixed Kebabs and Chicken Piri-Piri. All very good. Placed filled up quickly from about 18.00hrs and the single waitress was then under some pressure but coped well.

We ordered... read more We had booked forgot to book our restaurant and couldn’t find one in the area so decided to come to O Assador even though there had been no reviews. We ordered Garlic bread to start with cheese and it was really nice on sour dough bread but only one problem a black hair on the plate bread sitting on it! I never mentioned it and just said let’s eat and go. Chicken steak arrived and was like a tile it was so over cooked and hard and Peri peri chicken (smallest half a chicken I have even seen) was also hard and very little chicken on it. Both dishes had been drizzled with garlic oil of some worth which was very over powering. Homemade French fries which were really nice. Bill came in at €30.90 we declined to have desert paid our bill and left. My rating 3/10 better elsewhere

I had the tuna steak Portuguese style, my wife had the chicken kebab. Both very nice, great service and very reasonably priced.
