And ive had a few, called in as there was a queue and that can mean its a good restaurant, ordered a t bone and salmon both were outstanding, 2 big meals, drinks and a dessert plus a starter and it was worth twice the price! In the words of arnie....ill be back!

This we did a few nights... read more We passed by one evening and it was very busy and looked inviting. On that basis we thought that we should come back and give it a try. This we did a few nights later as a party of eight, unfortunately without making a booking. The manager was keen to accommodate us and after a very acceptable 10 minute wait he pulled together a few tables and we were seated and ready to go. The menu was full of enticing choices and there were good options for the two children in our party. Reasonably priced house wine went down well and we had a lovely meal. Had to be patient with the service but the restaurant was busy and this was acceptable to us as we were grateful to eat here after turning up without a reservation. When the bill arrived I pointed out that the bread and olives we had ordered did'nt arrive and the necessary amendment was made without quibble. All things considered we had a reasonably priced and very enjoyable meal at Calheiros. Our dining experienced was greatly enhanced by the presence of Paulo, one of the waiters who also worked at the hotel where we were staying. A class act who went out of his way to be helpful and friendly to all, especially the children.

The food was excellent and our favourite meal whilst we were on holiday. Chicken kebabs on a hanging skewer were delicious, steak, omelette and kids swordfish were also really good! White sangria had lots of fruit and was very drinkable! Great service and friendly staff.

We gave it a try on the fourth night of our holiday and we’re so impressed we reserved a table for our last meal three nights later. Excellent food, friendly and efficient service and not overpriced.

Friendly and helpful staf... read more We visited this restaurant several times in this visit and have visited in previous trips and it’s always been a pleasure to eat here. Friendly and helpful staff and delicious foot at very reasonable prices makes it an essential Olhos restaurant to eat at.
