They went above and beyond! I am from Florida and moved to New York recently and have not been able to get my hands on Florida fish for a reasonable price. They not only ordered me only 4lbs at market price but they skinned it and cut it in the portions I asked and individually wrapped it for me. I ordered the mahi mahi on a Friday and i got the call Tuesday morning that it was in. Everyone was so pleasant and helpfu... View all feedback.
What Vincenzo Rosenbaum doesn't like about Albertson Seafood Market:
My family has been regular customers for 20 years and bought lobsters during the holidays. I ordered two lobsters killed and cleaned. They left the Tomalley (green stuff) inside and I didn't see it until after cooking. The FDA does not warn to eat tomalley as it is potentially toxic. When I called the store and explained that the lobster was not completely cleaned, Giovanna would not listen to me and was not worried... View all feedback.
Always great service and excellent selection. I buy fresh seafood.
A REAL review on the Albertson Seafood Market! Okay, so I've been going since the new property that's a whole series of years. It used to be Jericho Seafood, but apparently there was a change of the guard. I have read a reviewer (a Google local guide who is sad that they are not properly formed over seafood) don't complain about lobster completely, as the FDA in 2008 a warning about Tomalley toxic. Yeah, that's apricots. But you don't eat 100 apricots in a session! Tomalley in American (Maine) lobsters contain a substance called polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), which can be toxic in extremely large amounts. Other than eating the Tomalley of 1 or 2 lobsters will certainly not be a problem. So for that, shame on the reviewer for her bad review! I have another Google Guide review this place as if it were a 5-star restaurant writing about the wine and waiter! Are you kidding? Pay attention to what place they write? This is a grocery store. This is CLEAN! The seafood is fresh (mostly) and the staff is helpful. Now come vacation season, they need to check their orders better! They are so eager, they count mussels, shells and shrimps when you preorder. Because now I will insist on a count before me. Three years in a row and I was shortened. That's an average of $22 a year. I mention it and they offer to make sure, I just ask that they use better processes to confirm the orders. That seems to be on deaf ears. Once I got a number of bad shells (oil and mud in about 10 of them) and I told them. Again I ate the loss (no I did not eat the shells, grew up). They have a good choice and they are somewhat pricy, but for clean seafood it is worth. Based on my review, I am sure you can understand why they only get 3 stars. If their number was always on the brand, they would get better (always check your preorders before you pay). That said I'm getting seafood for my vacation.

When I called the store and explained that the lobster was not completely cleaned, Giovanna would not listen to me and was not worried at all to satisfy a long-term customer. I see the market had a change in property and is no longer associated with Syosset Seafood. The store is now also bad running when you try to pick up an order on the holidays. I won't return.
I love this seafood market and deli, the fish is really fresh, the cooked food is tasty and the employees are kind. I recommended
My first time there! Mike helped me with my choice and I asked for his recommendation on how to prepare it. Thanks to him, my branzino came out perfect and delicious!!! I highly recommend this fish store!! I will definitely be back!!
