My husband and I frequent Tsuru a fair bit and to date, we have never had a bad meal. The service is always friendly, prompt and efficient. We really enjoy ordering little dishes and sharing, our favourites are the Edamame, Soft shell karrage, crispy chicken sushi rolls, steamed pork dim sims and the miso soup. For a heartier meal have the crispy chicken curry..Yummo View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tsuru Sushi Cafe:
Terrible! Every time I go there is some issue, don't know why I keep going back. Usually the food is tasty (perhaps that is why I keep returning) but this time my order was COLD! I ordered a plate of vegetables to go with my ginger pork belly but the suggestion of 'vegetables' suggests there is more than just cabbage which made up 90% of the dish at least! That was cold. The ginger pork belly was also cold. I asked a... View all feedback.

This is our favourite Sushi stop, the staff are really lovely and the food is made fresh. We have stopped for a dinner a few times and the food has been great, I think the prices are reasonable and the service is good. Sometimes have to wait a little while for out take away sushi BUT only because its made fresh !!! Cant complain about that !! All Good.....
Usually buy sushi for a takeaway lunch and am never disappointed. Coffee is a bit hit and miss for quality.
We went for lunch and started with mixed sashimi and sushi. Whilst the fish was fresh, the presentation was terrible with the nori hacked into and nigiri falling apart. The teriyaki squid was not too tough, but the sauce was horribly burnt and marred the flavour of the whole dish. The ginger pork belly was cooked in way too much (peanut?) Oil, which was a shame as it could have been a nice piece of meat. Overall, I think an amateur/sloppy chef may be to blame for much of these issues, but team this with cheap tables and unenthusiastic young staff, and this restaurant may be destined for failure. PS. Put serviettes on your tables!
This is my favourite place to go for a solo lunch; even when it's busy the restaurant is surprisingly peaceful. The food is delicious! The nori rolls are made fresh, the Japanese pancake is enormous and the gyoza are steamed or fried to perfection. Delish!
