This place exceeds the unique expectations of its patrons. From the food and drinks to the staff and ambiance, it's the perfect spot to relax with a drink or dance a little. I truly appreciate how friendly the staff is and how welcomed I feel as soon as I walk through the door. What User doesn't like about Wolff's Biergarten:
I often came to Wolffs before Covid. I came back for the first time in three years and was quite disappointed. The beer was fine, but the food was just over cooked deep roasted shop bought snacks. The food of the beer genus past was something similar that you found in Germany. The food is not worth it now. I remembered that the sausage was a real size sausage and not the 4" hot dog size we have. The chicken carving w... View all feedback.
One of the top bars in Albany! They have excellent specials like bingo night, student night, and happy hour. The food is really delicious, satisfying, and budget-friendly! Overall, it's a fantastic bar with a great selection of beers and even better staff!
We hadn't visited this restaurant in about two years, and it seems to have lost some of its charm. Perhaps it’s because Mark Graydon, who used to be behind the bar during our visits, is no longer there. My wife used to enjoy a gluten-free beer they offered, and Mark always remembered her preferences, even though we only came in about once a month. On the positive side, I do appreciate the new food ordering system. The quality of the food, however, was excellent.
Some visits to this restaurant have been better than others, and unfortunately, this time wasn't one of the good ones. For starters, it was incredibly loud! Even sitting outside wasn't a relief, as the TVs were blasting some sporting event that hardly anyone seemed to be watching (all I could focus on were the commercials). It made having a normal conversation nearly impossible. In previous visits, I enjoyed the beer selection and breakfast options, but sadly, we arrived too late for the breakfast menu. Additionally, since I had to drive someone to the airport, I couldn't enjoy any beer either.
Let me just say I?d like to give this place another visit after our first time. Why do you go here? For beer and sports. What sport? Football. No no no. Not the American football. Proper football. At least on Sunday?s. Visited on a Sunday. Firstly, thank you for being dog friendly!!! Will remember this for the future. For first timers, I feel like there should be adisclaimer on the website/social media/on their paper menus on their ordering etiquette. Or even a dang sign in the front to sitdown where you want and order at the bar. So, there ya go! It should be noted that if you go there during Brunch hours, you canonly order from the Brunch menu, and not the lunch menu. They were super friendly for our dog visitor. Breakfast food wasbetter than average. So maybe we would visit during lunch and have a different opinion.
This place exceeds a consumer?s unique bar expectations. From the food, to the drinks, to the staff, to the ambiance, it is the perfect spot to have a drink and chill or let loose and dance a little. I love how personable the staff is and how welcomed Ifeel when I walk in the door. No, this isn?t a ?hole in the wall? bar, but it certainly gives off the same comfortable and openvibes. The dart boards and specialty nights are a plus and really open a person up to expressing themselves in the mostauthentic way here! Definitely a must when you?re in Albany.
