What Stephanie L doesn't like about Villa Gargano Italian:
Johnny and his wife are probably some of the most corrupt people in Albany, Ga so I'm glad to see this place closed down. Both owners were verbally abusive to their employees and I saw and witnessed this first hand on many occasions. Trust me you won't be missed. View all feedback.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The owner seemed completely uninterested in the customers. My family decided to bring me back here for my birthday dinner, despite a lackluster experience during our last visit in February due to poor service. Honestly, it feels like they might as well close down, as it seems the only dish they serve now is baked spaghetti. They didn’t even provide butter for the bread, and when we requested some, the owner refused to let us have any from the kitchen. I have no intention of returning to this place. It's evident why they are struggling to attract customers lately.
It's a shame the restaurant has closed because we truly miss it. My favorite dish was the eggplant parmigiana, and the tiramisu was absolutely delightful! The atmosphere was charming, with beautiful decorations like fountains and murals that added to the overall ambiance.
Johnny and his wife are likely among the most unethical people in Albany, GA, so I’m glad to see this restaurant has shut down. I have witnessed them verbally mistreat their employees on several occasions. Believe me, they won’t be missed at all.
My dining experience here was truly unforgettable. The ambiance was welcoming and cozy, ideal for a nice evening meal. The menu featured an impressive selection of options, highlighting fresh ingredients and inventive dishes that delighted the taste buds. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive, and the staff demonstrated a strong understanding of the menu. All in all, it was a delightful dining experience that justifies the price range of $50 to $100 per person.
This restaurant has a special place in my family's heart, but I have some concerns about the recent changes to the menu. I understand that certain items may be unavailable due to staffing issues, but I think Gargano's should consider updating their menu to better reflect these limitations. The manager who served us was very friendly, but clearer communication regarding drink options would be helpful, and updated menus could assist with that. Additionally, I noticed that some portion sizes seemed a bit small for the prices, although I did enjoy the fresh salads that were generously dressed. I ordered the manicotti, which was delicious but definitely on the smaller side. I'm looking forward to dining here again and hope Villa Gargano can return to its former excellence.
