Newk's Eatery - Albany

Newk’s Eatery in Albany is a favorite lunch spot for my family in Albany, GA. The food is always consistently good, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is very friendly. However, during my visit tonight, when I dined alone, I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and a half club sandwich. Unfortunately, the restaurant was out of tortilla chips and there were no breadsticks available to accompany the soup. Despite this inconvenience, I was charged full price and no one offered an apology. I wonder what would happen if I tried to negotiate a lower price for a dish that didn’t meet my expectations? I will continue to visit the restaurant for now, but I hope this isn’t a sign of poor management becoming the norm.

It's been a while since my last visit here. I've noticed that prices have significantly increased, and the portions have become smaller. I'm definitely disappointed and uncertain if I'll come back. Unfortunately, this seems to be a trend happening everywhere. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

The food was decent, earning a solid 3 out of 5. However, the service left much to be desired, which I would rate at 2 out of 5. Additionally, the atmosphere of the restaurant didn’t impress me either, receiving another 2 out of 5. While the meal was reasonably priced, I found the overall experience lacking.

I had a fantastic experience at this Newk's! I was a bit confused by the drive-thru, not realizing it actually operates more like a curbside pickup. Nonetheless, Isabelle (or Isabella—I apologize for not remembering the exact name) took our order inside and was incredibly kind. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4.
