This is a classic old Italian restaurant in albany. it is narrow inside, with greeting at the door next to the tables, and the server station in the es pane too. a feature that has been added since covid is a sitting area free with a soon-and-a-half that has fortunately added to its capacity. we were probably not here in 3 years, but we immediately realized our greeting that seemed to be the front of the house manager. obviously the workers are satisfied there; they are experienced, professional and seamless. we were looking for some old favorite dishes, and although they have reduced the size of the menu, the server did not hesitate to insure us the kitchen what we wanted. we had auberginenrollatini as an appetizer that is still heavenly. they also formed a fresh bowl of pasta fagiole on request, which was full of brewing light, but taste when they become. the journeys still come with an salate. the greens were very fresh, and everyone enjoyed their choice to dress gorgonzola, tomato basilikum and italian. to order were kalbsalzimbocca, kalbsal quatro stagione (four seasons) with spinat, artichokes, roasted red paprika and pfefferoncini. one of the specials was the kalbsbruschetta, a baked veal snell with a white wine sauce and a Bruschetta cup. our entrees to round was pasta carbonara, perfectly prepared. we were filled but decided to order mini cannolis, crisp and tasty. this is not a mother and pop establishment with comparable trips, but if you want a really Italian bistro meal with service and food top notch, this is for them.
What a surprise. such an incredible restaurant in an opposite of central avenue that is not known for dine restaurants. the chef is proud of his dishes. the food was fantastic and did not last as long as it was expected from what was clear from the scratch dinner. we sat quickly on a Friday without reservation (party of 3.) sitting at the sitting we were immediately served with hot, fresh bread and a dish of oil and spicy. the prices were a tad higher than expected, but the service and experience was worth it. no parking space, but it was not difficult to find on street pitches relatiw near.
22 of us went to rest. it was amazing. great food from the old land. the personal is great. I recommend trying.
One of the best Italian restaurants where I've ever eaten. eating was fantastic as the service.

Had the old feel of a place that your gram would love. The chef does his rounds and is like a famous person. Everyone is like bro so good. He just smile because he know it is better then good. Then the dessert all made in house, I make a tiramisu and I thought mine was good, nope mines trash there's is what it should be. Photo of Veal Louie, I don't like artichokes but just went for it, I'm so glad I did. We can not wait to go back. The bill was higher then I thought but had no problem paying it and saying definitely do this again. Thank you Cafe Italia we felt like family.
