The Germans and the French distinguish between a bread shop and a pastry shop. Bountiful Bread combines both PLUS a fantastic selection of soups and sandwiches for lunch, all freshly made while you wait, not prepackaged. A must-drop-in eatery if you 'reexhausted from shopping at the Stuyvesant Plaza and looking for a break and a snack!
The make your own sandwich is the best, I get mozzarella, spinach, mushrooms, tomato and basil pesto on marble rye and it was perfect. They make their own mozzarella and it's scrumptious! My husband got the Sesame salmon bowl, he loves it every time, that's his go to. The staff member was courteous, they were busy and it was for pickup so I'll remember to order online nexttime. Food came in about 10-12 minutes and was worth every minute The food came in a timely manner and we loved it. Thanks fora delicious meal.
Bountiful Bread is a nice soup and sandwich shop. They serve soup, sandwiches and pastries. Service was good, but they were backed up at the service counter. This was Saturday afternoon though. Overall the experience was good. I met with a group offriends here, we were able to sit together, talk, and were not bothered. A great experience and the food was good.
I've been going to Bountiful Bread for years and always loved it! But have been disappointed in the past few months. Prices have gone up but quality has gone down. Purchased a Caesar salad with chicken (see photos) and charging $14 for a salad that doesn'teven fill the container and has brown lettuce. Also purchased a chicken pesto sandwich recently and noticed a premade one wastaken out of the fridge. I requested it to be grilled but it was still cold when I bit into it! I understand refrigerating forefficiency, but a grilled sandwich shouldn't be cold.
I love bountiful bread. My husband and I go here all the time. I have never had a bad meal here and the staff have always been amazing. I would highly suggest getting an everything cookie when you go. Though they are a meal in themselves since they areas big as a person's head. Lol
