What Christine Bayer doesn't like about Renaissance Albany:
We are here multiple times over the weekend due to its convenience. The place is pleasant and staff is gracious. But it really needs some oversight The NYStrip is so tough to the point of being not edible. The speaker system is broken so a constant churn/winding noise is prominent in the background so extremely unpleasant. The staff is not able to make adjustments. We had a relaxing lunch at Wellington’s. The food and service were excellent!
The fried artichoke hearts were awesome! Nice views of downtown Albany.
We were staying at the hotel. We needed a restaurant close by. We had a very nice dinner. Our server was excellent. Food was good. Tables are a little low. More like a cocktail lounge table height. It's a little odd, but still very nice. Lovely view of the capital building, They do have a nice bar and I'm sure the area is used more for cocktails anyway. It suited what we needed. Much better than most hotel restaurants.
Music loud , restaurant too warm. Food was ok , nothing really to rave about. Average !
Amazing food, drinks and service. We will definitely be back.
