I had the grilled breakfast burrito and it was delicious. The tortilla was perfectly cooked. The ingredients were moist and cooked perfectly. The service was Great!!! Highly recommended the dish and the restaurant!! On a side note . I was working so I couldn't enjoy what looked like a great local bar area.. But I will be back soon to check it out!! Service: Dine in
If you’re traveling near Alanson, Michigan, Bob’s Place is a must-stop! Just 20 minutes south of the Mackinac Bridge, this charming diner serves up delicious, hearty meals with a side of great hospitality. My wife and I had the Reuben sandwich with French onion soup, and both were absolutely fantastic—perfectly seasoned and comforting. Our server, Taygan, was phenomenal—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area!
We docked and went to Bob's for lunch. Joyce made the visit memorable, as she was a delight as a server. Excellent food and bloody Mary. Good stop for sure! French dip was excellent and the wings were good. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We were in on Thursday night. The food was great but our waitress was terrible. She was an older woman with glasses, she scolded my nephew who is 3 because condensation on his cup caused his drink to fall from his hands and spill, she accused him ofthrowing it on the floor and removing his lid, she also didn?t notice it had been spilled for nearly 20 minutes and that mysister and I were out of our drinks, she never checked to see if we were enjoying our meal, if we needed anything else, she wasquite rude and very unfriendly. I really take offense to trying to discipline someone else?s child with the parent sittingright there, especially when not aware of the situation. For $70 for 2 adult entrees and a kids burger I would have at leastexpected a refill and a 2 bite check and to not have my nephew berated by a complete stranger. I contemplated leaving a 0 tipbut I left $10 out of kindness but the service deserved 0 stars. I should mention my family lives in Alanson. We have livedthere for 30 years. We used to go to Bob?s when it was owned by the old owners as well. Bob?s lost a local family?s businessby the way that server treated my nephew. I know it may not seem like much but locals are the ones that keep small businessesafloat in the off season, they make or break a business and being rude and giving lousy service to a local is sure fire way tolose their business. It doesn?t matter how good the food is if you get horrible service.
Absolutely amazing little place. Definitely worth stopping by, food is great and staff is even better! Lindsay was just wonderful. Did her absolute best to keep drinks topped off and to make sure any requests were filled. They have some prettyawesome shirts for purchase, can even order them if they don't have the one you want in stock. Unfortunately for us they canonly order to the store. (we were on from out of town)
