Chef Joseph, althoug... read more Charisma has a very pleasant ambiance, decorated with some of the chef's own artwork, but the reason you will keep coming back is the food. Chef Joseph, although primarily an artist, is reallu one of the best chefs I have ever reviewed. Not only is his food delicious, but Joseph goes out of his way to create delightful dishes to meet any dietary needs. He seems to love the opportunity to shine at something special. Needless to say, Sonora, being cattle country, is a difficult place to be a vegetarian or vegan, but every time we have dined at Charisma the memory of the mouthwatering delacasies remains with me and coaxes me back. I highly recommend it not only for plant based diets, but after telling my doctor about it, he still raves about the ledgendary pepper crusted, mesquite grilled steaks Joseph served him.. Don't miss the Charisma. You will be so glad you found Joseph. Nice small bar too.

White lights camouflaged behind soft fabric, tin star lights hanging through the fabric. The waiter was attentive. There were several specials offered as well as the regular menu. My husband had the filet mignon which he raved about. Sonora is known for its beef. I had the shrimp scampi fettuccine, also very good. I received a complimentary chocolate cheesecake - very chocolatey and creamy.Off the dining room is a bar where the locals gather. We may need to try that tonight.

The restaurant is beautif... read more Our friend wanted us to have a meal here as she had become friends with Joseph in an art lesson in Italy. What a wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautifully lit with three dimensional metal stars hanging from the ceiling & wonderful pieces of art around. That set the stage for a delicious meal of Filet Mignon & a great glass of red wine.
