We visited the Millhouse cafe on a cold and wet day and were greeted by a roaring fire and friendly hosts.

It’s the worst so called Indian meal I’ve ever had, the popadoms were oily and the dips supplied with it were horrible and didn’t look fresh, just eating the popadoms made your hands oily, the the curry, well it must have been microwaved, it was so poor, the chicken was just like tough rubber, what a weird tasting curry, the Nan bread was oily too and the chips were sodden in oil, I just don’t know how anyone can make a meal this bad, if I could have given zero out of 5 I would off, also there was someone constantly shouting in the kitchen area, not at all relaxing, but the food was basically disgusting, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, maybe they cook the Chinese food better, but they need to give up on the Indian menu.

I read all the negative stuff, and the odd positive review. We eat in Chinese all over Europe, 1 things for sure, almost every town in Europe has a restaurant and almost all are always open!! Think about it !! So having read the good, bad and the ugly, we went anyway. Met by 2 sisters with beaming smiles, perfect English, Spanish and Chinese of course. Owners daughters. They were very happy to see us, smiled all night. Confused us a little when they handed us a Chinese menu and an Indian one. Why would you visit a Chinese for a tandoori? Diversity I guess, and people were ordering Indian. My wife noticed and Indian chef in the kitchen so might be OK, but there is an Indian 100 yards along the street !! We had a starter each, followed by chicken green pepper black bean sauce, and Singapore noodles to share. Food was better than the average Chinese in Spain. Prices good. Restaurant is a little grubby and stuff piled up in bar area, but we couldn't fault service or food. The girls mum ran about all night and couldn't do enough for anyone and extremely polite and all very jolly. Great to see. Only 1 picture as we forgot until the plates were clean !!!

We went here this evening for a family meal while on holiday and were first to dine outside. I cannot fault the politeness of the staff, however, the quality of the meals prepared and value for money is far from desirable. My daughter ordered chicken balls and egg fried rice. This translates to chicken nuggets in batter with egg fried rice. There was no sweet chilli sauce included, this came at an additional cost of almost £3 and it had the consistency of water. My partner and I ordered a chicken curry each, the sauces were very nice but the chicken was very dry and wasn’t to the standard I have enjoyed elsewhere on holidays before. All in all, I would advise against going here. The quality of food is not to the level that they should attempt cooking a different cuisine, just stick to Chinese or Indian, not both! Extortionate pricing for below average meal. The only reason this rating has a star is because the staff were very polite.
