Wonderful little winery.I impulsively stopped by when I was driving past.The staff was helpful and fun to chat with and the wine was DELICIOUS!I love the Cranberry Harvest as well as the White Sangria.Grateful I decided on the tasting and to purchase the stemless glass I used.Here's to hoping that one day you can buy it by the glass while you're there one day!

Beautiful view and delicious fruity wine. What a gorgeous place to enjoy an afternoon. We were lucky enough to stay overnight via Harvest Hosts membership it was so peaceful! The tour of the winery was really interesting and we got to see the wine being bottled! Everyone we met there was friendly and welcoming. Best wine I've had, we ended up buying two bottles upon arrival and 6 more cans before we left. Blueberry moscato was great and sunshine state white sangria is still my fave.

In the middle of nowhere is a winery just north of Ocala, Florida. Hawthorne, population a bit over 1,000 residents and home of blueberry wine makers. On pending hurricane Dorian to hit Florida and on a very rainy day we pulled in to the visitor's center and main shop of Island Grove Wine Company. The store was beautiful and staff, two ladies who had worked there for more than a few years were gracious hosts and said they felt like family to the owners. While I was there other customers shopped to my amusement because I could not perceive anyone would know of this place but people knew. The winery was lovely.

We love stopping here when we travel on or near the 301! It is a wonderful spot to taste some unique Florida wines (often fruits other than grape or with grape) buy some fun goodies or gifts! We brought home the Crisp Green Apple Sorta Sweet Blueberry along with some Micanapy Gold (pickled garlic) Yup, they've got the goods. After your stop here, make an outing out of it get lunch or dinner in Starke at one of the awesome local foodie spots!
