Shogun Japanese Steakhouse - Akron

Went with 7 friends and had a blast. We met about 6 and there was nobody else there. The hostess commanded our attention and explained what we needed to know. Our cook was very skilled and entertaining. I wasn't thinking and only got one picture. I hope we all decide to go back soon.

Tonight after dining, I was chased down in the parking lot by the waitress demanding to know why I didn’t leave a tip on the tip line of my check. Imagine her surprise when I not very politely told her that I had left cash on the table. While I understand the importance of tipping, it was very rude and unnecessary for her to run out to the parking lot and make a scene. I am appalled!

I was sitting at a table near the entrance to their kitchen. I was alone. The curtain that covered the door went from the top to halfway down the doorway, so part of the kitchen could be seen from my table. I heard some thing that caught my attention, and I looked inside to see my waitress, brushing her teeth and using a water pick in the sink. This is the same area where food is prepared!! Some thing about this totally grossed me out! Won’t return. I did manage to snap a couple pictures after she set her water pic down. I will post those pictures.

Good food and good entertainment as well.I highly recommend the Dinosaur Roll!Update:Still good food and still recommend the dinosaur roll. Walk-in anytime, never over crowded.

Good service. Ordered shishi for appetizer. Hibachi was great..funny chef.
