Then 1 day I ordered a pork chop dinner, took it home and opened it up and it was fried extra crispy as if it was placed in the deep fryer. When I took a bite of it the whole crispy layer fell off, the meat was stringy and stretchy and it didnt even taste like pork it tasted just like old chicken. An order of fried green tomatoes, soul rolls and peach cobbler for dessert. The food was prepared properly it just wasn't seasoned the way I'm used to, but still very edible. I'm not a fan of cinnamon in my baked beans and the cabbage was good but very sweet. This is hands down THEEE BEST soul food/ southern food I’ve had in my life. I’ve lived down south and Nephews tops it all. The Mac and Cheese tastes like granny hand mixed it in her house shoes and Robe while listening to The Commodores. The BBQ sauce has a sweet spicy kick that is packed with flavor. The rib... read more This restaurant offers the best authentic Southern-style comfort food in town! I highly recommend trying the soul rolls - they are absolutely delicious! The ribs were also mouthwatering and the Mac n' cheese and dirty rice were perfection. The portions are very generous. This place is definitely one of Akron's best kept secrets! I give it a perfect 5 out of 5 rating for the food.
