Mandala - Akaroa

Definitely our favorite food in Akaroa! We had the pani puri, butter chicken curry, and goat curry. All were excellent and very different the butter chicken was really creamy which balanced the spice of the goat curry. Our server Kamal was really friendly and shared that he is currently making the restaurant a new cocktail list based on his experience as a bartender in Dubai. We tried one with cherry and amaretto and it was perfectly sweet and delicious. Overall a lovely experience and would recommend to anyone visiting Akaroa. The food here is incredible!!! Kamal was a legend, the negronis were delicious, the pani puri was like an explosion of flavour, the prawns were meaty and so full of flavour, you gotta come here to eat! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First time attendees very impressed with the service provided presentation of our meals. The entrees were delicious and our mains were delectable dishes. A wonderful cosy atmosphere too. Very nice indian restaurant with delicious food. Had the pani puri and the lamb cutlet's as starters, pani puri war perfectly spiced and flavoured and the lamb nicely roasted. The currys were aslo great. The cardamom dessert is one of the best dessert i ever had, beautyfull flavoured and a nice balance of sweetness and sourness, A must. Great pumpkin curry and fresh roti. A bit pricey but the staff were super nice and it was a great vegetarian spot in akaoroa to hit before a long drive north.
