A spectacular meal tonight. We three had three different and amazingly flavorful and well-presented meals. This is high Mexican cuisine at its finest. Nestled into a small building in our Ajijic Centro neighborhood, the chef creates innovative and beautiful dishes using the finest of Mexican ingredients. The decor is colorful Mexican, and it is fitting for the ambiance and the food. The staff are knowledgable and friendly, and very prompt. We love that the menu changes with the seasons, and that peak seasonal ingredients are featured. Tonight, I had an amazing tuna steak seared with amaranth seeds with a light sauce, perfectly grilled vegetables and flavorful mashed potatoes. Too much for one meal, it will be greedily enjoyed for lunch tomorrow! Because we live in the neighborhood, we often walk our dogs by the restaurant. In between the lunch and dinner shifts, the staff can be seen enjoying their meal together, laughing and talking. A happy staff makes for happy customers! This is definitely a “Must Visit” restaurant!

Wonderful food and service. The owners are brother and sister, and are so friendly and smart. I really want to support them and love that they focus on making traditional Mexican food at their best. I love their moles and their guacamole is the best in town. Joan Ray

My Mom and I are staying at Casa Del Sol and decided to try this place for dinner tonight..we were greeted by Ricardo..he was very friendly and super attentive.. he even asked our names and said goodbye when we left. I chose the pumpkin flower soup..it was absolutely stunning..it was presented like we were in a Michelin star restaurant..but honestly all of the food was. I got the slow roast pork rib with pickled vegetables and a wonderful sauce. We had homemade tortillas. My Mom got the red snapper in a veracruze sauce with olives and capers..which was cooked to perfection . We had a few margaritas which were delicious and infused with cucumber..we even decided to do dessert Mom had coffee ice cream..I had the coconut flan..ok..there's flan..ok..boring..no ..not this..it was rich,creamy and such a deep flavor..we are in covid times..servers wore mask and sanitized customers hands. The restaurant was pretty busy with alot of regulars. Service was in minutes. To top it off..whats the worst part of the meal? Getting the check..not here..it comes in a decorated porcelain turtle..dinner was very resonable..and we are here a few more days and will go back before we leave.. thank you Ricardo and team for a wonderful dinning experience.
