Smoke House - Ajijic

We arrived for a late Monday lunch. Service was friendly, wait time average. We ordered the brisket sandwich with fries which was good; BBQ wings which were nice size but undercooked; and a shrimp salad, which was grilled shrimp and onions on fresh lettuce. I'd...like to come back for dinner on Tuesday or Thursday to try their BBQ ribs.

Unlike many past take-out meals over the past several months, tonight’s dinner was very disappointing. Pulled pork sandwich had tough, unchewable stringy meat. Fish fingers (unlike before) were over-breaded and overcooked very little fish to taste. Onion rings too soggy with grease to eat....Maybe end of the day leftovers?

Only gave it four stars because I’m from Texas and ate at the top BBQ joints there. Tried their combo plate, brisket and ribs both very good. Price was reasonable. Nice outdoor seating and waitstaff attentive and friendly. Looking forward to return and try their...pulled pork.

Such a wonderful Barbecue Restaurant here in West Ajijic, Smoke House!! Large portions of perfectly smoked meats are served with freshly made sides, and excellent margarita specials for The Pitmaster Amador is a skilled expert in creating the rich smoke flavors from oak...and mesquite wood! The briskets are smoked for hours to develop their perfectly moist and tender texture surrounded by the requisite and famous pink smoke ring! For this Texan, I’m a happy girl and was so pleased to introduce Smoke House to my Sweetheart last weekend...he absolutely loved the brisket and ribs as much as I do!! Thank you to the Smoke House Management and staff for your great welcome and attentive service!!

Probamos el Brisket y un par de hamburguesas. Todos los platillos estuvieron deliciosos. El servicio también muy bueno.Un buen lugar para tener en cuenta en tu próxima visita a la zona de Ajijic.
