Sunrise Caribbean Restaurant - Ajax

I went here to get my culture food the service was fast however yhey cook with too much onions the calaloo was full of onions rather than the calaloo itself and the dumplins were very oily its not good to eat here if you are watching your health. The only thing I enjoyed was the porridge.

The cooking is done with love. The best oxtail ever!!! This was the best I've had in a long time. When living away from home, and in search of authentic Caribbean cuisine, it is quite comforting to know that someone cooks like mom. The fried bakes, the curry goat, and soup are to die for as well!!!

It was well after lunch when I dropped in here. Place was busy, people seated and people in line. Ordered chicken curry, rice and peas and steamed veggies. Food was ready fairly quickly. Did take away, it was still hot when I arrived home. Flavour was spot on, hot sauce was an option which I didn't use.

I love Caribbean food but was disappointed with a few things here 1I though the Curry Chicken was just a bit on the salty side 2.

This restaurant was definitely above average compared to most Jamaican restaurants in Atlanta, but it lacked the outstanding flavor that I was hoping for.
