First time trying Vietnamese so I can't compare this experience to anything, but man was this good. We are on the lookout for a local favourite Vietnamese place since moving out of Calgary last year (not far, but too far for a random Vietnamese craving). Pho East Lake was the first place we tried because it is closest to us. I am sad to say this was not it for us. The pho broth was super bland and the meat in my vermicelli was too. Once again I went for my favourite Vietnamese dish, Beef Sate which is number 31 at East Lake.
Always amazing and friendly service, only ever surpassed by the phenomenal food.
