My wife and I made the decision to head to Big T?s after only having ordered delivery previously. Great decision, that was! Cam and Ben were awesome; Super nice, welcoming, and helpful. The food was delicious and portions were filling. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!!! Meticulously clean restaurant, amazing service, delicious food, and good people. What Jtb doesn't like about Big T's Bbq Smokehouse:
This was our second visit. The first visit was so/so and we wanted to give it a second try, because of all the good reviews. Both times the flavour of the brisket was really nice, but the meat was dried out and cold. It had us worried about food poisoning. Usually when we order from here there?s a 50/50 chance something is going to be wrong. Today I ordered the smoked chicken sandwich, and this chicken was so burnt I almost cracked a tooth. Completely inedible. My dog won?t even eat it.
This was our second visit. The first visit was so/so and we wanted to give it a second try, because of all the good reviews. Both times the flavour of the brisket was really nice, but the meat was dried out and cold. It had us worried about food poisoning. It wasn?t cold enough to be safely stored in the fridge, and both times it just barely had a hint of warmth. The corn bread was dried out, and impossible to swallow, and the ribs were just ok. I love Texas barbecue, and we really hoped this might be good, but it was just passable. There was no smell of coals or meat roasting in the air that should have been a clue that the food wouldn?t taste like real barbecue. In Texas, we can smell the barbecue for blocks.
Food was amazing, the pulled pork was delicious their bbq sauce is so tasty. Everything was very good, zero complaints. Would definitely eat here again. Even the price was more than fair. 1/2 pound of pulled pork with cornbread, and 2 sides for $14. I had gluten free cornbread and I couldn?t even tell the difference. So so good!!
Location: great. Easily accessible. Easy to find. Parking: adequate, no issues finding a place to park close to the restaurant. Facility: nifty look. It seems like a newer facility. Cleanliness: not going to wow anyone. Everything you touch kinda feels grungy. When we were there, it was empty, but half of the tables still were covered in salt crumbs and did not seemed wiped down from the prior patron(s). But there was a booth that was satisfactory to sit at. Staff: friendly and helpful. She seemed to know the menu very well, and was familiar with all of the dishes we questioned about. She was pleasant to talk to, and seemed to genuinely enjoy her job. ???? The food: food was ok. Decent portion sizes. Not going to say this was the best BBQ I've paid for, but it was BBQ none the less. The meats were kinda dry for bbq. Both the brisket and the pulled pork we ordered had the same problem. But the flavours were definately there! Not quite sure why there is no BBQ sauce available to mix in with the meats when you receive your order. Overall... I'd give this a 3.5. (round up to 4 stars for Google)
