What Lorraine Summers doesn't like about The Dining Room:
Oh dear… I visited this restaurant because the reviews seemed promising, but I was disappointed. The haggis parcel was tasteless, the steak pie was chewy and served cold, and the gravy was watery. I also had to return the caramel shortcake since it was just caramel with no shortcake, and when another was brought out, the staff offered a reluctant apology and said it was "just the same as your last plate." Lovely food and decent sized portions. Staff couldn't do enough to make dining experience any better

Our first visit to this establishment and delighted . The food was excellent .I had haggis parcel, fish and chips and then caramel shortcake yum yum. The staff are very friendly and nothing was a problem. The restaurant was spacious didn't have tables all around you but steady flow of customers. We will return and try something else on the menu. Excellent food and good prices Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20
I ordered the spicy chicken wings, which were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection; crunchy on the outside and topped with a delightful sauce. I also enjoyed the salad underneath, which absorbed some of the hot sauce and chicken juices, serving as a lovely dressing. I appreciated that the staff offered the sauce on the side, recognizing that it was quite spicy. Next, I tried the chicken Milanese with carbonara, served with penne. It was quite tasty, though I would suggest that the sauce could have had a bit more flavor—though that might just be my preference for stronger tastes. Nonetheless, it was fresh, well-cooked, and attractively presented. Another significant advantage was the price. There were four of us; two were drinking alcohol, and we all had two courses—with one person having three—and the total came to around £90, which I thought was fantastic given the current situation. Thank you for all the evident effort you put into this dining experience. We will definitely be back!
